So good morning everybody, I’m at Wildwood Metropark in my hometown of Toledo and I’m getting ready to do a four mile run today.  This is, I guess the second weekend of my training for my fall marathon. I’m actually going to be running in the Air Force Marathon down in Dayton.  I’ve deferred it twice now.  The reason for that being one year I just wasn’t ready and last year was because of the pandemic.  So my third try here will be in September.  What I thought I might do is each week I do a long run on Saturdays and I would document along the way uh how things are going.  So this is before, and as I get into the longer runs, I think I’ll probably go live and talk about how I have felt afterwards.

Now this will be my fifth marathon marathon, that I’ve done over the past, I guess 12 or 13 years, and you know it’s interesting because there’s a lot of good muscle memory for having done many long runs in the past.  But it doesn’t make it any easier starting from the beginning again as I’ve been doing a lot of sitting behind a desk for the past couple of years.  I would say that’s one of the reasons why even the previous year I bailed on the one that I was going to do in 2019. So looking forward to it and looking forward to sharing my progress along the way.  And seeing how things are going as I continue my training throughout the summer.
